Thanks for the links, I've been looking forward to opinions about the MWF2 airport scene, more than anything, I want to see the arguments of Infinity Ward.

Holy moly what a great writeup from Mechner--I don't know why he's a little sheepish about it, it's still pretty much solid gold. Fairly prescient about the desire for "cinematic" storytelling ruining a lot of games.

Loved the Mechner article. It even inspired me, to some degree, to draft up an idea for a video game.

As per Tom's opinion on MW, I see it all quite differently.
