At the beginning of the second world, she began tearing up. The art, the music, the text, all of them sang in harmony. She said to me, "I get it now, I get why you want to make these games."

It's very personal, but that was definitely my MOTY.Nels Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06484436433023780229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20951746.post-76738071300129070552008-12-29T20:50:00.000-08:002008-12-29T20:50:00.000-08:00Steve - hmm, yeah I found the grinding to be horri...Steve - hmm, yeah I found the grinding to be horrid in the game and despised the side missions (that was the story of NMH to me... amazing story missions, followed by awful "open-city" gameplay, whether it was on purpose or not). I ended up with a lot of grinding just to get that best saber for the end of the game.

We'll see what happens with NMH2Manveer Heirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00773469746260900213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20951746.post-24212843475945771202008-12-29T19:00:00.000-08:002008-12-29T19:00:00.000-08:00Being able to play co-op with non-English-speaking...Being able to play co-op with non-English-speaking LittleBigPlanet players was one of my most memorable moments.

No microphones, no texting, no common language; just four Sackboy's waving, jumping, scowling, and smiling. It was a lot of grinding, but damn, was I going to pass up the sweet snakeskin jacket? No. I'm the kind of player who will invest game time into purely aesthetic items; I've certainly been motivated to play and replay songs in the Rock Band games just to make my Steve gaynorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01516595172941914708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20951746.post-73426463566999181422008-12-29T17:56:00.000-08:002008-12-29T17:56:00.000-08:00Nice list. The drunk walking in GTA IV was also one of my favorite bits of that game.

Here are a few of my MOTYs, without really spoiling anything:

-Gears of War 2, the ending of the worm level. I too love character customization, but with all the stuff I could upgrade for my sabers (hopefully you upgraded your saber all the way and got the "real" ending) I couldn't bring myself to wasting money on mere clothes.

Which brings up the following question: If the game offered clothes as collectibles to find but not to spend Manveer Heirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00773469746260900213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20951746.post-6673716621213464902008-12-29T06:22:00.000-08:002008-12-29T06:22:00.000-08:00Shooting limbs in Dead Space using the laser cutte...Shooting limbs in Dead Space using the laser cutter, or whatever the first weapon was called.

It completely blew my mind for the first hour or so that I did it. Being able to rotate the gun to change the axis of the spread was something I don't think had ever been done before and, for me, redefined the firefight. Other games and weapons have a secondary fire or charge ability, butMichelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00302937491137230150noreply@blogger.com
